We have a fabulous selection of wedding dresses at High Society which would be perfect for a beach wedding. We often chat to brides who are scouring Wales for a dress that will fit the bill for a wedding abroad, something slightly less tradtional than the average bridal gown.
One of the first designers that comes to mind is Jenny Packham, as her gowns are always lightweight and floaty, but still very glamorous. Foxglove by Jenny Packham offers an unstructured alternative to the traditional wedding dress. A bridal gown like this will never crease, and is easy to pack.
If you’re not keen on all over sparkle, Jenny Packham has many wedding gowns which are plainer, for example
The above gowns are not practical for all brides, some of us need the corsetry of a more traditional wedding gown to make the most of our figures. Most designers have a selection of more fitted gowns in their collections. See
Think carefully about what your priorities are when choosing your gown for a wedding abroad. You may not want to compromise on the style or the size of the dress, particularly if you’ve always dreamt of the big princess gown. Choose the lighter fabrics such as organza, tulle or chiffon, and consider homegrown British designers such as Sassi Holford and Suzanne Neville. Their gowns are hand made to a very high standard, and much lighter to wear than some manufactured gowns.
Stunning by Suzanne Neville has a full Princess skirt, but is crafted in feather light silk organza for a comfortable feel.
As always, the best idea is just to try on different styles of dresses so that you can find out works for you. Give us a call on 01446 771775, or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for an appointment at your convenience.
