New Mia Mia gowns have arrived!

Our new Mia Mia collection has arrived! We are very excited to have these new gowns from designer Alan Hannah. We were expecting the collection in September but Alan and Marguriete have pulled out all the stops to get it to us ahead of schedule.

We have received Jessica, Ava, Liezel and Juliet, pictured right. Juliet is a gorgeous tiered dress and is available in two fabrics, royal and silk.

From Alan and Marguerite:

“MiaMia is the new prêt a porter label from Alan Hannah. Our aim is to offer a slice of couture in an accessible, ready to wear option, using luxurious fabrics and detailing at an affordable price. The gowns are light and pretty with beautiful touches of beading which highlight the fluid silhouettes and lovely movement of the gowns.”

Suzanne Neville’s new perfume has now arrived! Pour Femme, Suzanne’s latest venture, is a fragrance collection that comprises a deliciously feminine eau de parfum, a luxury scented candle and a rich, smoothing body lotion. The fragrance has been created by top British perfumers Bronnley who, under the designer’s watchful eye, created a wonderful combination of oriental floral scents – gardinia, freesia and coriander seeds – that blend with notes of jasmine and rose and finish with natural vanilla, Javan patchouli and vetiver bourbon.

Inspired by vintage classics such as Chanel No.5, the packaging has been kept simple, yet elegant, the plain glass bottles tied with a bow of pink ribbon. Violette, the beautiful vintage inspired wedding shoe by Diane Hassall, is one of my favourite bridal shoes at the moment. It is a romantic court shoe in French embroidered tulle with a 50’s inspired duchesse satin band and bow. You either love bows or hate them, and I love them!

The heel is 8.5cm, the shoe is hand made in purest ivory, and is available in sizes 3-8 (half sizes also). With lace being such a dominant theme this season, this shoe should add the perfect finishing touch to many a wedding gown.

Jewellery to suit your face shape: long

To flatter a long face, avoid long earrings and necklaces, as this will only accentuate your features. Short, round earrings are best, particularly large studs, and a choker or shorter collarbone length necklace with break up your profile and make your face seem shorter and rounder.

If you have a square shaped face, you are looking for jewellery to soften your face and give the impression of roundness. This means round shapes in the jewellery are a good choice – long earrings are fine, but try to avoid styles with sharp edges.
