Jenny Packham has revealed that she will be designing costumes for the new – and final – Harry Potter film The Deathly Hallows. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Helena Bonham Carter have just finished filming in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. In a short interview posted at Vogue.co.uk she commented that:
“At the moment we’re designing some dresses for the next Harry Potter film – it’s not always easy as we have to remember that they’re for people playing children, so we have to be swayed by the costume directors rather than our fashion taste, but it’s really exciting to be involved.”
The buzz is that she will be designing outfits for Fleur’s wedding, but nothing has yet been confirmed. It’s not the first time Jenny Packham has designed dresses for films, as Caterina Murino wore a stunning persimmon Jenny Packham gown in James Bond: Casino Royal, pictured right and below.
Jenny Packham has also designed wedding gowns for Elizabeth Hurley and Denise Van Outen. Click here for more on Jenny Packham, and here for celebrities wearing Jenny Packham designs.
