Lucy-Jo Hudson wore a vivid red Suzanne Neville gown to the Cannes film festival in May, for a photocall with her Looking for Eric co-stars. Lucy-Jo will be most familiar as killer Katy Harris from Coronation Street, and has also been starring in ITV’s Wild at Heart, before moving to her film role in the new film Looking for Eric.

Here’s what Lucy-Jo had to say about choosing her wedding gown:

How are your wedding preparations coming along?
We think we’ve got the venue sorted and I’ve already found my dress, which is a relief. We’re getting married this summer in Manchester, so I’ve got seven months to plan it.

Was finding the right dress a difficult task?
I chose it as soon as we got engaged [last March] because I got overexcited, but I’ve actually changed my mind now and got a different one!

What made you ditch the first one?
I’ve lost quite a bit of weight over the past year and when I tried it on again, it looked awful. Since then I’ve found “the one”. It’s by a designer called Suzanne Neville, but I won’t say too much as I want it to be a surprise for Al.
