Dorothy goes 21st century glam and travels to Oz in style with glitzy heels by Rainbow Club!
Wedding shoe favourite Rainbow Club has created 11 exclusive pairs of cystal encrusted shoes for the finalists of BBC’s Saturday night programme, Over the Rainbow.
Head designer of the heels, Diane Hassall, used over 3000 hand-applied Swarovski crystals on each shoe and finished the gorgeous design with a hand-dyed satin bow and matching heel. Every pair perfectly matches the gingham dress worn by each contestant in the programme.
The talent show searches the UK to find the best actor and singer for the parts of Dorothy and Toto in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stage production of the film The Wizard of Oz.
The shoes were made in two-weeks and were hand-delivered to the studios in time for the first live programme. So next time you tune in, have a closer look at those fabulous sparkling shoes!
